History

Guri do Sul brings a style of dining that began centuries ago in the Pampas region in Brazil. Early European immigrants moved to the Pampas region consisting of Argentina, Uruguay and Southern Brazil. Those from Brazil came to be known as Gauchos or Brazillian Cowboys and started the tradition of Churrasco. Roasting meats over an open flame became the custom of celebrating family and friends together. This method of preparation would seal in the natural juices of the meats and result in a tender more flavorful steak.

Guri do Sul keeps this tradition alive today by offering a unique style of dining to their guest. At Guri do Sul our menu begins with a gourmet salad bar with over twenty-five items to choose from. Following the salad bar, 12 different cuts will be offered, including beef, lamb, chicken, pork and salmon. These cuts will all be served tableside on hot skewers and sliced at your preferred temperature. When you are ready for the meat selections simply turn the red and green coaster to the green side. This indicates that you are ready for the parade of meats to begin. If you would like to take a break or your appetite is satisfied completely simply flip the card back to the red side. This rodizio style of dining is not only a tradition but a way of life then and now. Relax and let us serve you with our Brazilian hospitality and traditions.
